1/2 oz Calendula is a well-known herb and uplifting ornamental garden plant that has been used therapeutically, ceremonially, and as a dye and food plant for centuries. Most commonly known as for its topical use as a tea or infused oil, the bright orange or yellow flower contains many important constituents and can be taken internally as well. We use our Calendula blossoms in our Super Salve and our Anti-Itch oil also.
"Calendula has many healing qualities. Both internally ~prevent muscle spasms, start menstrual periods, reduce fever, treating sore throat and mouth, menstrual cramps, cancer, and stomach and duodenal ulcers, and measles, and externally ~applied to the skin to reduce pain and swelling (inflammation) and to treat poorly healing wounds and leg ulcers. It is also applied to the skin for nosebleeds, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, inflammation of the rectum (proctitis), ear infection, gum disease, peeling lips, diaper rash, vaginal yeast infection, and inflammation of the lining of the eyelid (conjunctivitis)." -Mrs. Aurora from Nature's Pathways article issue July 2019
