Aurora's Apothecary Herbal Intensive

Back by popular demand! This is our year long herbal apprenticeship program but we are running it a little different this year. Class will start in February and run bi-weekly.

We meet every other Tuesday starting:

~ February 2nd ~ February 16th ~ March 2nd ~ March 16th ~ March 30th ~ April 13th ~ April 27th ~ May 11th ~ May 25th ~ June 8th ~ June 22nd

We will still study the same subjects:

~ Overview of all of the herbs. Aurora will bombard you with a PowerPoint of at least 50 different herbs to pique your interest. After this class you will choose the 10 herbs that you would like to intensively study. ~ Body Systems and Herbal Actions ~ Botany, ID, and Horticulture ~ Harvesting and Tools of an herbalist ~ 3 plant ID walks ~ Learn about tea infusions, decoctions, tools of the trade, tinctures, infused oils, salves, essential oils, and aromatherapy. ~ Final reports and graduation party on the last day of class!

This is a very hands on class and you will get to know 10 plants of your choice very intimately, among many other herbs. Students will also have opportunities to join Aurora in her lab and garden to work and study alongside a master herbalist!
